A Jewish resistance fighter in Poland during World War II leaves her daughter, Mina with a woman she barely knows. When she returns after the war is over the woman and her daughter are gone.
Mina and the woman she knows as her mother, have made their way to the United States. When Mina is an adult she learns she is not who she thinks she is and sets out to find her family.
