Hello Fellow Drinkers,

So I've always been curious about witchcraft, especially when it comes to pulling magic from the moon or plants, so when I saw Moon, Magic, Mixology my interest was immediately peaked. So When I opened it up, I expected a cocktail recipe book, but this is so much more. Hadas provides so much information in this book, that at first it was a little overwhelming but I came to appreciate her taking the time to explain the magic behind Lunar cocktails and how it elevates them.

Overall, if you like cocktails and are interested in lunar witchcraft this is definitely a must have… (más)

70 Seasonal Drinks Infused with Magic and Ritual

Gorgeous, gracious, generous, and greatly appreciated by me – this is a book I would love to have in my collection!

What I liked:
* The stunning photographs took my breath away
* The stemware and tools were divine
* The seriousness of the book along with the fun
* The idea of enhancing spells while also inspiring specific energies
* That Basic Bartending and Basic Witchcraft were addressed
* Moderation and Responsibility were mentioned as ways of creating nonalcoholic beverages were given
* The idea that bartending tools should be enchanted/blessed
* The depth of the book with information about elements, purpose behind creating recipes, intention, words to use, magical elements with information about astrological bodies and signs, moon phases, chakras, crystals, tarot and edible elements included
* The way recipes were presented for cocktails with description, information about the drink, ingredients, energies being called to/for, and advanced workings to add to/enhance the beverage
* The names of the drinks and how they were set up by season
* The section on herbal intentions and metric conversions
* The basic drinks section
* I just loved the book and may ask someone to buy it for me and bring it next time they visit!

What I didn’t like:
* Not having the book in my hand to enjoy right now.

Did I like this book? Yes – absolutely loved it!

I am both a practicing pagan and a devotee of fancy drinks so I knew this book was for me. What I didn't know was that I'd like it so much that I'm already bookmarking recipes and pre-ordering a hardcover copy for my home. The book includes both bartending and witchcraft basics plus appendices of basic cocktail recipes and intentional correspondences for the herbs you might want to include when designing your own drinks. The photographs are stunning and atmospheric. The true star of this book are the the cocktail recipes themselves, indexed by season and accompanied by a suggested magical object or brief ritual. I think I'm going to get a lot of use out of this book.… (más)
