If you're looking for a solid fantasy with multiple POVs and an immersive Norse mythology vibe, this is the book for you.
Each character is well rounded and unique, giving an in-depth story from each perspective. They mythology was also rich and grand, really immersing the reading in the journey.
I listened to the audiobook, which made keeping track of the names a bit challenging, so I would recommend reading it in print if that may be something you struggle with. But the narrator does an excellent job with character voices and storytelling.
Definitely a high quality fantasy story, and I definitely recommend.

Excellent ! A rollicking tale in the Norse tradition with fascinating characters and detailed battles. Fans of Viking stories and epic tales will enjoy.
Whoa... What a rip-roaring race through battlefield after battlefield! And the cliffhanger ending - now I'll need to wait patiently for the third book in the series to find out what the fates have in store for Varg, Elvar and the others.

The story is a real page turner and mostly successful in achieving suspension of disbelief. Recommended.
