Guideposts

I enjoyed this, but struggled to read it as I should three times a day. I prefer the Walking in Grace editors to the Mornings With Jesus editors and so didn't find this as much up my street as I might have had the editors been from the other crew. It is good to take time in the day to remember the reason for the season as this helps us to do. I would try it again another year, but I was a little disappointed this time.

I always love these. One gets to know the contributors. I miss some that have moved on to other pursuits, but am learning to love the new ones. A nice short devotional each day with bible verses tied to the selection and a prayer for the day. A great start to my morning this year, though I have appreciated them in the evening in past years.

This devotional collection lives up to its subtitle – devotions for animal lovers. The devotions consist of a Bible verse, a life application in the form of an animal story, and a brief prayer. The only oddity is that the dates run from May 1 to April 30 rather than on a calendar year.

I really fell in love with this book. After a couple of months of devotions, I got a copy to share with my Mama. Some of our favorite writers are featured here. This is a book I'll read over and over again. So glad to have stumbled across it. I see it as a wonderful gift for many friends. Highly recommend!
