Pug Grumble

I got this book from the author at a book convention, and I am so pleased with it. The format and cover art of the books caught my eye, and I knew I had to get them.
It has a unique feeling that reminded me of my childhood reading Bande dessinée. The same mood I was used too.
Once I grabbed the book and saw the ink art, I understood the amount of work put into each single panel.

This is a story of a little Goblin who searches for a place to belong. There is nothing ordinary about it. The creativity only gets better each page. The Goblin travels with his little tree. They have been on a journey for quite a long time, and there are not so many lands to discover already.
Now, I am part of their journey too. It's like he found me on his way and I just tagged along into the next adventure.

This is an all-ages graphic novel that will amuse the little ones and will catch the eye of artists as well. I appreciate the amount of detail put into the art, and I definitely will add the rest of the volumes to my collection.… (más)

Imagine a story that's a fairy tale, but with the sensibility of the Three Stooges or Roadrunner and the coyote. The first 30% of the book was a little tough to get through. The sadism and masochism were predominant from the start and sometimes a bit overwhelming. Fortunately, the writing is so good that I was able to get through my discomfort. Then the story changed. The proclivities of the main characters seemed to fade to the background and the interpersonal relationships became the main focus.

The writing is engaging, funny and smart. Although I read it as a Kindle Unlimited book, I liked it enough that I purchased a copy to support the author.… (más)
