Unfortunately, this book started proimising and ended in the trash. It was a solid 4*star read, and then the last 40-30% annoyed me so much that I can't help myself, but give her 2* maximum (I even had a debate with my inner voice, if it even deserves 2*).

"Cop an attitude" is supposedly a romantic comedy between a policemen and a corporate girl. However, there is nothing romantic, or even remotely funny in the whole book. There were literally no scenes of romance, and the only time the main characters got together was by the end of the book. Through the rest of the time it was always pushing and pulling.

So plot wise, I didn't enjoy it. I did like the writing tho, and I think it was he only good thing that is in the book.

Characters:

Waverly - I hated that heroine. She was a workholic, a bitch and a know-all. What I hated the most was that she was gaslighing the hero, and was mean to him through every meeting. bonus negative points for her being a bully, and her kissing her best friend's husband (without permission)

Pete - I liked him more than the heroine, but he wasn't standing out in any way, so there was nothing really I could love about him. What annoyed me, was that through the whole book he was made to look like a bad guy, but I don't think he ever did something wrong. He cared for his daughter, and it's absolutely normal to not want certain people near you kid, especially in such situations.

Overall, this is not a rom-com in any sense, and I wouldn't recommend it as such.… (más)

Thank you to the author for this book. I really enjoyed reading once again about the PTA moms especially Claire. She was dumped by her non-caring husband, and I felt bad not only for her but for her kids Kyle, Sarah, and Chloe, who he never made time for even when they were separated. I loved her kids and they were so well behaved.

The other moms from the PTA who were her friends were her support group and defended her when a mean mom sent mean emails who she received via another mom who wasn't a good person either.

It was very enjoyable to read and I finished it in 2 days.

As a side note, not sure if this ebook was an ARC or just edited but I found a few errors (not that I was looking for them), but one of the amusing ones when a mother was talking about Chanel and it was written as "Channel." Oops.… (más)

This story will take the readers on an emotional roller coaster ride where they will experience the full gamut of emotions as they follow the traumtic events that change Waverly and Pete's marriage. You can't help but lose yourself in the drama as Waverly worries if Pete will remember her and their past, and follow Waverly and Pete as they work to find their way back to each other. This entertaining story is full of humor, drama and angsty moments that will the reader engaged as Waverly and Pete once again get another chance at finding love.

Cop A Plea is a wonderful story of family, friendships, love, and the ability to make it through anything that life throws at you along the way.
