A book that must be read with full understanding of the period in which the events took place. Whatever our current view on whaling in the late 1940's it was still an acceptable, even essential, occupation.
This is an account of a single seaon's attempt to employ seaplanes (Supermarine Walrus) as spotters for the whaling fleet. It is a fascinating record of it's time and era, well written and an important historical record.
