Biografía breve
Stewart Granger, born James Stewart in London, England, changed his name to avoid confusion with the American actor James Stewart. Tall, dark, handsome and debonair, he became one of the greatest British stars of the 1940s and went on to achieve international film stardom. In Hollywood, he was one of the greatest swashbucklers, doing many of his own stunts in movies such as Scaramouche (1952) and The Prisoner of Zenda (1952). He published his autobiography, Sparks Fly Upward, in 1981.

This Biography was probably ghost written, but is quite readable. The actor, of British origin, appeared in Action movies of the 1950's. He was suited for them, exactly, as his skills were far more suited to the Movie Star than serious stage work. He provided me with some very comforting escapism growing up. He was christened James Lablanche Stewart. But as his stage career began in 1935, he obviously had to change that name to be unique. The book isn't as good as Caine's or Niven's.
