This was an amazing book Although heartbreaking in the end. Angie Graves is a dog handler. She trains bomb dogs, cadaver dogs and now a dog to hunt zombies. Murder is a good dog, but hasn't taken to past attempts to train. When he smells the Giant Crimson Wasp, its as though he was born to hunt. And this is how he becomes the world's first zombie hunting dog.

*I received a copy of this book for free. The review is my own, honest and unsolicited.

It tells the story of a Native American war hero and Blackfeet Indian named Oran Old Chief. The narrative follows both he and a ragtag group of soldiers as they journey through the western American wasteland to return not only Oran's home, but to the homes of several of the other people. It was too bad that that we couldn't have been given a broader "picture" of the road, and to have expanded on some of the mythological aspects that take place, or were rumored to have taken place there. The world had obviously changed, since the undead and monsters entered through some kind of "rift" into our world. Readers that feast on mythology will have a buffet with this one. The Native lore is finely detailed, and the attention to character development is extremely well-done. There is a large and dynamic cast of characters, and the reader will see how much effort the author put into creating this world. It's filled with action and drama with some silliness, a slight hint of romance wrapped up nicely in a story you will remember long after you close the cover. Enjoy it it's a good book.… (más)

Book Title: Cadaver Dog
Author: Doug Goodman
Format: Kindle
Genre: Fantasy

Book Title:
The title ' Cadaver Dog ' is interesting and self-explanatory. The title suggests that the plot is based upon a Dog as the main character.

Book Cover:
The cover is a simple image of a great valley with wonderful picturesque.

Plot:
Angie is a lone young woman who prefers to be with her dogs than the people. Once, she finds an almost dead dog on the side of the road, saves him, nurses him back to health and trains him to find the Zombie Wasp.

The storyline is very different and the rarest type but, the author has developed it into a believable story about how zombies could really come to exist in the real world with all the zombie controllers.

What I like:
1.The training of the dog by the female character to fight against the zombies
2.The bond between Angie and the dog
3. The attack and rescue sequences

What I didn't like:
Nothing to dislike, but was unable to focus as it was a fantasy genre.
The story is more for the fantasy genre fans and people who love pets. As I am away from these two, it was difficult for me to get inside the story. But once the actual mission of the attack against zombies started, I felt engrossed in the story.

Characters:
The readers can observe that Murder( the dog ) and Angie Graves ( The female character ) are scripted well in the plot.

Narration:
Interesting narration

Language & Grammar:
A very fine usage of grammar and language is found.

My Final Verdict:
A definite read for fantasy genre lovers

Book Title: Dead Dog
Author: Doug Goodman
Format: Kindle
Genre: Fantasy

Book Title:
The title ' Dead Dog ' is mysterious as the fog in the previous book of the Zombie Dog Series fights against the attackers.

Book Cover:
The cover is a very interesting image of a beautiful landscape of a no man's land and a dog skull.

Plot:
Dead Dog, the sequel to the book, Cadaver Dog and is a fast paced and exciting story.
Angie Graves, the young woman, who trained Murder in the previous book, move to Houston after her house gets burned down in Colorado. She then joins the Harris County Wasp Control to search for zombies, at Houston. Houston is the main place of the zombie epidemic. But Angie finds it difficult to live in Houston as she is not used to live in a very busy place. She always loved living in the mountains with serene and peaceful surroundings. She tries very hard to adapt to the city life. The people, the mindsets, and the politics here at Houston suffocated Angie very much. Murder, her dog also starts behaving strange.
In the story, in a parallel scene, a dead dog is found in a desert canyon in Big Bend National Park, Texas. The Parks Ranger suspects there is more to this death than a simple case of a dead animal on the trail. He begins searching into what happened to this dog, and does it have an owner. His questions will lead him to Angie, and together they will begin a hunt for creatures more dangerous than bears and mountain lions

What I like:
1. The plot
2. Angie's struggle to adapt to new situation
3. The twists and the mystery solving episode

What I didn't like:
After reading the first part of the series, I have started liking the fantasy genre, so there nothing that I haven't liked in the story.
My final Verdict:
A definite read for fantasy genre lovers
