“A Tibetan Revolutionary: The Political Life and Times of Bapa Phuntso Wangye” is the autobiography, as told to the authors, of Phuntso Wangye.

Phuntso was the founder of the Tibetan Communist Party and one of the highest-ranking Tibetans in the Chinese Communist Party, having worked extensively with the Dalai and Panchen lamas and important Chinese officials such as Mao, Zhou Enlai, Liu Shaoqi, Deng Xiaoping, and others.

Phuntso was cleared of having committed any counterrevolutionary activities in China a few years after being released from prison in 1978.
