An early attempt at bringing third world designs to the attention of European artists. Unfortunately the quality of the photos is poor, and a number of items have been misattributed. The most obvious are on pages 12 and 13, where two nearly identical objects are shown in different photos. One is identified as a breast ornament from Greece, and the other as a head ornament from Syria. Both are incorrect. Both are head ornaments from North Africa, either Morocco or Algeria.
