This is probably a book I should not have read while recovering from back surgery as it is wordy and is not very flattering towards the medical system. There are conditions where her advice would not have changed the condition. I was ready to give up but I had won it in the Goodreads Contest and I felt obligated to finish it and give it an honest review.

I think many people are practicing this today. They have just used many books while this is all of it in one place. I disagree with some of what she says, i.e. meal subscription plans. If it is one where you just nuke and eat it, she's right. But if it is one where you have to cut and cook, she's wrong. This plan is one where I learned portion control and if I liked something. If I didn't, I was only throwing one serving out as opposed to 3-5 servings. It is no more expensive than going to a fast food place--maybe McDonald's is $9 for a meal (unless you use the dollar menu) while a meal subscription service is $10 per meal. Also there is a book out by Dr. Will Clowder, The French Don't Get Diet Plan. He talks about eating real food and reading the labels as you shop. Don't buy anything with more than 5 ingredients or unpronounceable ingredients. Real quality food feels you up and tastes better than the processed food. Exercise was just walking, not using your car for a 5 minute trip. I have lost weight using both methods and currently use both methods.

If you haven't come across this method of healthy living, you may be interested in what it says. I found it repetitive to much that is available on the shelves and the internet.
