A woman with amnesia finds herself alone in an unfamiliar place. She’s frightened and desperate. Why is she there? Was she with someone? Where did she come from? And what is her name? At the lowest point of her despair she begins to cry and her tears attract the attention of well-dressed gentleman who comes to her aid and offers her a place to stay until she can sort things out. She joins him in his chauffeur-driven car and they speed off into the night to his palatial estate.

What promises to be a suspense-filled story with numerous possibilities sadly falls far short of the mark. As the story progresses at a snail’s pace the writing does nothing to stir the imagination. The description of a mansion that is a shrine to the man’s dead wife leaves the reader feeling cold. The interaction between the characters is stilted. The only spot of life in the book is the housekeeper, Dottie, who is presumably telling the story. But her scenes are few and far between.

While this is the author’s ninth book, there is little to commend it. The entire book is in desperate need of an editor. The grammar is horrible. And the number of misplaced commas is too numerous to count. The plot line is weak and unless you are looking for a travelogue of Europe I would suggest you pass by this one.

AND THE GREATEST OF THESE IS CHARITY
The opening of this book really got me. Can the cycle of abuse be stopped? Does the abused always become the abuser? Sometimes, yes, especially if no one knew. The biggest cries for help are the ones yelled into the night in our head.
Audrey, has a memory, but what happened for real? Diana ran as far as possible.Like most abused women.Audrey's heart had been broken, battered, and laughed over. She had given up. Diana had as well. They meet and a bond is formed. A bond only two-liked minded souls would understand. Then, just when everything is going good, the past sneaks up and kicks them in the gut. Should they get their revenge, so that they may be able to sleep? Sometimes, if we look into ourselves as survivors,we want to "do unto them what they did to us." But WWJD? Compassion showed to the abuser, who has never been showed love or understanding? Could you do it? Thanks Linda for sending this to me to review. You never let me down.As with all of her books, they teach all of us a lesson.… (más)

Wow!
This was absolutely amazing and truly unlike any other mystery that I’ve read before. I’m going to try to go through this without giving everything away so here while still telling you everything I love about it and not making it pages and pages long.
So here goes.
Linda weaves an amazing tale of murder and mystery and suspense with characters that are themselves weaved into the plot.
She spends time developing said characters in a way that you both hate, love, and want to know so much more about them and just have to keep reading.
Also, I found her format so interested.
For instance, you first hear from the point of view of the witness to the crime then the detective than the crime itself and so on.
Like I said, I don’t want to give away everything.
I will say in closing that Linda has created another winner.
Murdered Twice is absolutely positively in a class all its own

I just thought I loved,Linda's previous books I've read. When she asked me to read this one,I knew I had to put my others down and get started right away.Linda has a way of mixing, great writing with Faith thrown in,without being overwhelming.
This is a true love story, not only between the characters but their Love for God. Imagine this,You find yourself in a strange place,no idea of who, what, how, when, why. Now imagine, you've lost your one true love, you're lonely, just trying to find a reason to love,to smile,to believe again.Hope,is given to two lives, the one without a memory, the other, who is just lost and alone.Oceans away, another story us unfolding, based on lies and deceit. One has to do with the other. For one to survive, the old must be forgotten and said goodbye too.For them both to survive, the truth will set you free.A tale of love, respect, fear and joy.As told from a journal of a housekeeper, who becomes more like family to the one with no memory than anyone else. A story of deep respect.A tale of a love, that can only be matched by a fairy tale. The only thing in the way is the return of her memory. Will it all end or will love prevail, and forgive?… (más)
