This is an emotional story for mature readers. A son write the life story of his father and his life as a New York Fireman. It starts from when his father started out all the way to his death from doing what he loves. He was a true hero.

This book made me cry. It was written by a son about his father, the fire chief, who was killed on 9/11. This book gives an overview of the chief's life and tells how much he loves being a fireman. He leaves his desk to help on 9/11, and is never seen alive again.

This was an amazing heartfelt book about a brave fire chief who died on September 11th. This book is writtten by his son and put it into perspective on a more personal level. This would be a good book to teach 7th or 8th grade because I think they would be able to appreciate this story. I also like the photography in this book it helps you connect seeing his family friends and also other fire fighters.
