The author here examines the mystery writings of Dorothy L. Sayers, which are principally composed of the Montague Egg short stories and the Lord Peter Wimsey canon. There's actually quite a bit of interesting insight into the sagas, including some of the underlying themes that the author believes that Sayers was trying to work through as the saga developed, especially in light of the fact that Sayers was trying to keep her writing fresh. There's also some discussion of why Sayers ultimately stopped writing detective fiction. The author is very careful in many cases not to give away the solutions to the mysteries, though in some cases it's unavoidable.
