MD Fryson

When I first picked up this book I did not know it was book two in a series. It took me a little bit to realize this fact; so I would say that this book could be read as a stand alone novel. However, I do have to warn that I kind of feel like my reading experience did suffer some by having not read the first book in the series.

This sounded like a intriguing book and thus the reason that I did want to read this book. For some reason, I struggled with this book. I kept trying to find a connection to the characters but could not grasp one. Therefore, in turn the story did not jump out and grab me as it would have if I had an established relationship with the characters. Take my opinion with a grain of salt as other readers who did read the first book in this series did enjoy this book.… (más)
