Fern Fraser

This was equal part swoony and sexy. A bodyguard acting as a fake boyfriend? Romance is bound to occur. Paris Fashion week and a kidnapping threat to top it off? Romance for the ages.
These characters on their own are swoony and I would have read anything with them but when you put them together? I am sold. They fit so perfectly together both personality-wise and sexually and it was seamless. I loved the deep concern for each other and the connection they established right off the bat before it got romantic.
I was a little confused about the necklace at the end, apparently, it was real? Such like an afterthought for me, I completely forgot that’s why she was taken to begin with. I just finished the book feeling so content and happy. Fern Fraser does it again, the perfect feel-good romance to start your year right.

Being a single parent is a hard gig and it’s easy to feel isolated so these two understand each other in a way others don’t, and it shows. I understand Mila’s reluctance to start anything given her previous experiences and how precarious her situation is now.
Blending a family is hard and putting the kids first is always important and it can make things hard. I appreciate that that is addressed as opposed to just assuming everyone will get along fabulously, I think it’s important to show couples who work through that part.
I am so happy Mila and Nick found each other and I can’t wait to read more of their cute town.
