This may have been a Nook free Friday choice, first in a series as so many of them are. Rather tepid mystery: novice PI blundering around among dangerous people, with his cop cousin for some reason following his lead. It's blessedly short--about 200 pages--and would have been about half that length if it hadn't described every meal the guy and his friends ate during the week or so of the action. Oh, and descriptions of what everyone was wearing and how much cleavage was shown by the gorgeous women who were unaccountably throwing themselves at him. I have downloaded and will read the free prequel novella that tells the story of what happened in Hong Kong. That sounds a lot more interesting.… (más)

Prequel to a series that looks like a winner. Recommended.
