Plenty of people have rated it five stars, which means they truly like this. For me this first part didn't work too well. First of all, the whole book is a build-up utilizing several scenes of characters unrelated to the main story. Then, even with so much telling of the psychological impact of those scenes over main characters, her voluntary submission felt entirely unreal. Also, the concept of consensual submission in this premise was kind of very unsatisfying. In my eyes the story demanded some kind of subjugation. Second scene (between Heidi and Five) is actually good, and for that I'm giving it two stars instead of one.… (más)

Gina is a journalist. She has been assigned a story about a clandestine business running in the warehouse district of the city she lives in. When she uncovers the location of the exclusive women-only Faceless Club, and witnesses first-hand a local celebrity emerging from within, she thinks she's onto something big.

She has no idea.

I shan't reveal what goes on behind the doors of The Faceless Club, but being an Ella Ford story means it deals with themes of dominance and submission, with a side-order of feet and stockings. The latter two aren't my jam, but Ella knows her stuff and I can't help but get caught up in her characters' passions.

Gina's journey of self-discovery is a fun ride with superbly crafted eroticism and a satisfying conclusion.

Ella Ford writes kinky lesbian romance, usually with elements of power exchange, stocking and foot fetish and often humiliation. Despite these not being my thing - well, not all of them - she has a knack for putting me as a reader in the mind of her characters as they experience their kicks, and so I'm drawn back to her books again and again.

In this story we meet Sarah and Pet, a lesbian couple in a full-time consensual D/s relationship. Pet expresses interest in introducing a third participant to their play and Sarah is taken with the idea so she makes it happen.

This book details their weekend with a special guest. The sex is off the charts hot and there's a lot of it. we get glimpses of the bond between Sarah and Pet and everyone has a great, and exhausting time.

I'd love to see Ella Ford take on a deeper book allowing more time for character development, but until that happens I'll continue to enjoy her delicious fantasies.… (más)
