The book wasn't downright awful, but it's close. Think of every hackneyed, overused "cheap Scotsman" joke you can think of and you've already got this book's content. If you're looking for good Scots humor, may I suggest any of the books by either Allan Morrison or Forbes McGregor. Those books will have you laughing until you cry; this compendium of tripe? Not so much.
