While parts of this book were redundant, I think the author was really trying to push home just how horrific his experiences were. This book fully illustrated the atrocities that had befallen the author, along with his friends, family, and even people he didn’t know. The author included several photos of his family members to make his story even more real. All in all, a heartbreaking but inspirational story.
