A slim (25 page) pamphlet on how to maintain graveyards, from the Irish Office of Public Works. It’s not clear who’s the intended audience; it’s noted some graveyards are owned by churches, some are national property, and some are privately owned. The would-be restorer is advised to verify ownership before proceeding. There are a lot of “don’ts”; don’t clear the land in the summer (to avoid disturbing wildlife), don’t level the ground, don’t straighten tilted gravestones, don’t plant wildflowers, don’t do much of anything without notifying everybody and getting expert advice.
