Carolyn Parnall Fink (1940–1997)

Carolyn Parnall Fink, R.N., began writing as a young girl, producing novellas, short stories, poems, and other works. She was a longtime New Mexico resident who moved with her husband, John (Jack) Fink, to Seattle in 1997. Most of her published work, including On Duty: A Nurse's Notes on Life and Death (1996), recounted true stories taken from her life and experience as a registered nurse. She worked in various hospitals, nursing homes, and schools, caring for patients with a variety of illnesses. She died at age 57 from melanoma.
