Sobre El Autor

Jay Farrar has been a singer/songwriter for over 25 years. He was a founding member of the legendary band Uncle Tupelo, and has been performing with Son Volt since 1995. Two of his most recent projects were putting original music to the words and poetry of Jack Kerouac (2010) and Woody Guthrie mostrar más (2012). Vignettes from a musician's life. Farrar proves a masterful writer, but a man of as few words as he is on stage. Most of the vignettes are about his father or his childhood, with another large part being observations from everyday life (that of a musician, anyway). He skirts around Uncle Tupelo - but in fairness, while certainly seminal in many ways, UT forms only a short period in Farrar's long musical career. This was a good read, and not just a must-have for fans of Farrar's music, but also enjoyable as snapshots from a life spent pondering and enjoying the universe in general and (country) music in particular.… (más)
