RABCK from hostile17; This souvenir type book is best summed up by portions of the last paragraph. Angel Island is full of contradictions. It was discovered by a Spanish sea captain who apparently never set foot on the island. ….it was an immigration station whose main function was to keep immigrants from entering the country.....it was the first U. S. port of call for Trans-Pacific passenger ships, but did not appear on ship's itineraries. Overall an interesting book that will travel forward in the things bookbox.… (más)
