I didn't enjoy this one quite as much as the first, though it still rollicked along. The plot was maybe a bit too religious/'chosen one' for my taste. It's a shame that we didn't get further epsiodes of this interesting 'Shattered World' science-fantasy series.

A very imaginative graphic novel which evokes a fantastic world of adventure and danger and the pulps such as Flash Gordon. Frank Espinosa's expressive art style, at times almost incomprehensibly wild until you look closely, adds to this feeling of chaos and energy. Rocketo Garrison is a navigator, a special breed of explorer/adventurer in a world of strange lands without compasses or maps, and even stranger creatures. This book describes his early life and adventures.

In comics, I would compare it to the Flash Gordon strips or even - in some cases, strange as it may seem - Herge's Tintin! A great Fantasy Adventure that doesn't let up.… (más)
