A comprehensive collection of over thirty chapters addressing the impact of mobile and pervasive computing on "space, time and identity." Most of the contributions are set in the general context of cultural studies and media studies, discussing big-picture topics with a generally critical approach. There are also a few chapters with a more familiar interaction-design angle, and predictably those are the ones I personally find most rewarding. Specifically, the chapters by Malcolm McCullough, Dietmar Offenhuber & Orkan Telhan, and Giulio Jacucci are the ones I find to resonate the most with my own thoughts and work. The breadth and coverage of the collection is such that I imagine this to be the case for most readers: some chapters highly interesting, some less so (or even, at times, hard to relate to).… (más)
