Jann Einfeld

This small volume edited by Jamm Einfeld consist of eleven opinions that are presented here. The authors of the essays present their viewpoints on the nature of the Islamic religion. Overall the book presents both sides of the debate where each person uses the Koran to support his or her opposing views. The book begins with Osama bin Laden's justification for attacking America. George W. Bush claim that Islam is a predominantly peaceful religion, which is countered by evangelist Pat Robertson in this well documented essay. There are eight additional essays offered including an analysis of women's rights. Most of the contributors offer excerpts from the Koran to support their views that shows the Koran contradicts itself. These articles do show that any interpretation of religious texts to support the view you wish to put forth is easily accomplished. This would make a good addition to any High School library.… (más)
