A scholarly examination of contemporary feminist theory. Many of the chapters (each written by a different author) make fascinating reading and the coverage is broad. The one weakness (for my own perspective) is the lack of attention to feminist theory as it applies to the workplace. Given the debates that have raged over the years on the pay gap, sexual harassment, sex discrimination and the masculine values that dominate business, the book is surprisingly quiet about these issues. Elsewhere the book is wonderful, providing coverage of the arts, intersections with race and contemporary examinations of sexuality. Strongly recommended to scholars of feminism.… (más)
