ARC Review: Crossing the Friend Zone (Belmont Beach Brides) by Kelly Eadon

Kelly Eadon is a new discovery for me, but I'm enjoying her work. The biggest lure for me is that she can lighten the mood just as quickly as she can break your heart. All while tempting your soul. Her stories are great way to sit back, relax and get away from the daily grind. Crossing the Friend Zone is a perfect expect novel. Short enough to flirt but just the right length to leave a reader craving more. Ryan and Ainsley blur the line between friendship and seduction in almost as short a time as it takes Ms. Eadon to capture the heart. Lock, stock and barrel. I'm an Eadonite for life.… (más)

ARC Review: The Family Man By Kelly Eadon

The beautiful artwork on the cover attracted my attention. The book description drew me in and Kelly Eadon's story captured my heart. There is something refreshingly sweet about a man like Griffin. Sacrificing in every way imaginable in order for his little girl to have the love and security that she needs and deserves. He's one of the good ones. What's ironic is that he does not see how much of a good father he actually is. It takes the hands of fate, small town living and the love of a good woman to open his eyes. Beth has a big heart, a love of baking and an attraction to one of her most profitable clients. The problem is the baggage that they both carry is heavier than either realizes. It will take a precocious child, a fiery attraction and a whole lot of faith to convince her to take a chance. I received an ARC of The Family Man for an honest review. The adorable romance, charming town and heartwarming themes are an addictive combination.… (más)

Beth Beverley is a busy women; she is a part-time baker, part-time seamstress, part-time drama teacher for children and throw in some babysitting! She is one women whom is run off of her feet but that doesn't stop her from having feeling for the delicious hunk that owns Little Ray Of Sunshine Coffee Shop…Griffin Hall.

Griffin Hall has a past that he keeps hidden from the world, mainly because he is focused on being a father to his daughter Mabel, but another side is terrified on his past being used against him again and having his daughter taken away from him. But despite all of that he is intrigued by Beth Beverley so much so, that he can't get her out of his head.

Griffin decides to take a leap of faith with Beth and they start seeing one another and quickly get wrapped upped in each other, until Griffins secrets of the past show up and could destroy everything that they have built together.

WOW! Kelly Eadon has blown me away again with another story from that small little town of Belmont. I absolutely loved Beth's character and her Jill of all trades life! Griffin character is a mixture of sweet and HOT!! Seriously! I need to move to this town! Mabel's character is really the show stealer! She has all that sass of a 4 year old and you can’t help but love her…and Black Kitty.

The writing was not jumpy or filled with fluff and nonsense, but smooth and brilliant and truly made this book a delight to read.

The plot was superb and I couldn't help but full in love with the little town and the people in it! I also loved the way that the author has written the lead male as the single father and the insecurities that any single parent would have. I also love how the Beth also has nerves about starting a new business after failing! I love the way the author has inspiring messages woven throughout it.

I give Family Man 5 stars!

Kate Massie never wanted to return to Belmont, to the town where she was raised along with her sister and their single father before he died. She didn't want to remember, she was too afraid to show emotion, to let her feeling out and just cry. But after losing her dream internship at the Philadelphia DA's office, she was lucky that her law school professor had manage to find her a place in a federal judges office close to Belmont. So Kate was content to do her internship and leave Belmont in her rear view mirror.

What Kate wasn't expecting was running into her old friend and her junior prom date James Abell, she also wasn't expecting to agree to be his pretend girlfriend at his sisters wedding and she really wasn't expecting to fall in love with him.

But of course nothing is ever easy in Kate's life and when an ex boyfriend and James ex-fiancee threaten to spoil their blossoming relationship, Kate does the one thing she always does….she runs away…but is that the end of the story?

So I normally stay away from all of the cliché story lines, but the blurb attracted me to the story and oh boy! Does this book blow the old cliché out of the water. There is literally nothing about this book that I have read in this way before or had been used to death! This book was fresh and invigorating (in a strange sort of way) and it even left me feeling sorry for Brooke ( James ex). I absolutely loved James and Kate's characters and Kate's accident proneness had me in stitches. But by far the most stand out character for me was Margaret! Of my goodness what a pistol! I loved her.

So getting to the basics; the writing was smooth and detailed. I felt that the plot had no holes and was detailed and gripping and the characters were divinely detailed and lovable. It truly was a great book to read.

I give The Wedding Date 5 stars!
