I picked up my copy at its premiere at the Stitches East 2008 knitting expo. I had taken a class on the Knit One Below technique from the author at Stitches 2007. I already have yarn for 2 projects from the book and plans for 2 more. The stitch is easy to learn and the book includes projects at many skill levels.

This book offers a fun and simple way to create many intriguing color effects by using a stitch called "k1b" (knit 1 below). This technique requires the knitting or purling into the stitch one row below the stitch on the needle. Many interesting and varied color effects can be created and both sides of the fabric look good. A variety of patterns at different skill levels, most with minimal finishing.
