There's little to fault in this well-paced introduction to HTML and CSS, with plenty of code examples (and the ability to download it all from GitHub.) If you have a bit of a background, you can even follow it and glean lessons for the future without actually doing the coding as you go along. Well written, straightforward, and the author doesn't try to be too humorous, which in the wrong hands, quickly becomes annoying. But, not here! Recommended.
This book has quite a few links to tools to aid in your learning so I suggest reading it on a computer. It states: “Learning HTML and CSS requires patience and commitment. No one’s learning path in this subject is identical to anyone else’s. In this book we’ve done our best to present a sensible pathway for you, but you will undoubtedly learn a great deal from your own ingenuity and experimentation.” This sums up the book nicely. I believe this to be a great intro to using HTML and CSS to improve or create a basic website. Think of it as a workbook and you will not be disappointed.… (más)
