The book was a slow but steady pace. Nothing to romantic or gory. Kept it interesting enough to read the next book in the series but probably not much further

A fun paranormal romance/urban fantasy that focuses on fae rather than the more cliched vampires and werewolves. All around good read, that stays close to traditional fae depictions while throwing in some original twists of Drummond's own. The story was enjoyable, the characters interesting, and as a bonus, the female protagonist actually gets to be the hero at the end and rescue her human love.

Eh, not my best review by the flu is kicking my butt. It's a good book that I highly recommend for fans of fantasy and romance.… (más)

Interesting take on Magic

This was a fun read. I really liked how the main character, the faerie, was so naive to the human world. Even after living near them for many long years, she was still unfamiliar with the culture and behaviors of the humans.
There was some chemistry between the two main characters, but it didn't develop too much.
The characters were quite thoughtful, but I wished that deeper emotion was portrayed. I just wasn't sucked into the story. It didn't leave me screaming with awe.
Great fantasy world and development.
Clean read. A few swear words.

The Lies dragons Tell (The Dragons of Kudare Book #1)by India Drummond

A sudden and unexpected illness hits young Rane, she is and blessed to the Gods and ready to serve them. Her two brothers decide to go as "seekers" to the dangerous dragons for help on saving their sister. This goes against their religious beliefs, it is forbidden for humans to seek help from dragons. But they must save their sisters life.

Her brothers meet a dragonborn alchemist who has promised to help them. They face many dangers to seek the help they are looking for. Who can be trusted? Are the Dragons telling the truth? But they soon find that everything comes at a cost. They are faced with the hardest decision of their life. Exactly how far would one go to save their sister?

A fantastic adventurous/dramatic/fantasy. The love of two (opposite) brothers is strong. I liked the fact they are willing to take risks to save their only sister. Rane was very likable, a typical 18 year old, yet in a magical world. I love the originality of the story, I like dragons and how this story was told. I Highly recommend The Lies Dragons Tell to those who love fantasy/adventure and dragons.
