This was one of my most anticipated books of 2021 and it did not disappoint!

This books goes over a lot of heavy topics, (From SA, school shootings, homophobia, racism, self harm.). I enjoyed this book a lot as I think it covered these topics nicely. This book is also a little creepy with the ghost involved.

DNF @ 25%. Confusing and over written. Characters are mentioned and then never introduced. Like, Jake mentions he has a psychic mentor but when things get down right dangerous he doesn't think to maybe give her a call or something? And, um, no, I'm not feeling sorry for a school shooter. I don't care that he was bullied. I don't care that he had a shitty home life. Just, no.

This book broke my heart and put it back together again. Incredible writing and so well done. I was entranced from start to finish and my eyes are still misty.
