An amusingly dated book from 1973 which discusses "the tremendous potential of electronic music in its freedom from the limitations of conventional instruments and notation. Douglas suggests that rather than displacing human performers, electronic music will provide the basis for a completely new art form in its own right, with its own language, performers and devotees." The book details how electronic synthesizers can overcome limitations of traditional instruments, showing many circuit diagrams, punch card computer codes, and computer flow charts. There are some remarkable black and white photographs of early computer systems and electronic music studios with huge computer devices.
