This is what I would describe as a cozy mystery. Polly Parret runs a petsitting company. Her mother who was a show jumper and trainer breaks her back in a fall. While feeling sorry for herself she drives away her husband and alienates pretty much everyone else. Polly pitches in and helps the caregivers in taking care of her mother. They decide her mother needs to sell the house and large property she owns and move into something smaller and cheaper. The real estate agent she is dealing with is a "Hottie" according to Polly. Polly and Tyler begin a tentative business relationship, but both have feelings for each other. After a dinner with Tyler, Polly stumbles upon a homeless vet and his dog being threatened by a police officer. She steps in to keep the dog from being shot and gets involved in a murder investigation. With the help of Tyler, they investigate and solve the mystery. A quick enjoyable read.… (más)
