- Professor Sir John Dewhurst was a pioneer in pediatric and adolescent gynecology. During his years at Queen Charlotte's Hospital for Women in London (1967-1985), he made it an international center for postgraduate training in OB-GYN. He wrote classic medical textbooks as well as a popular history of midwifery and the Royal Family.
