Great twists

I really enjoy a good twist in a book, and there are definitely some in this one. Really good HEA all around too. Definitely a good read.

Rose Devereux has brought us an intense book that shows us what perception can do, and how changing just one small part of that perception can have such a large impact on your life.

Grace is still in mourning after losing her fiance 2 years ago. The man responsible, Bram, has escaped all forms of justice. She hates him with all of her being. But, she's falling apart and can't keep going the way that she is.

Bram killed Grace's fiance two years ago, but he had a good reason. He lied in court about it so that he could protect Grace, even though he's sure that she's a liar. There's just something that draws him to her. He plans on helping her put herself back together, whether she wants him to or not.

This story is really intense. I couldn't have torn myself away from this book if you paid me. The journey that Grace goes through and the changes that she has to deal with are nearly overwhelming. I don't know how I would've been able to handle this. I've been thinking about this book since I finished it, and I just can't get it out of my head.

Grace and Bram are such real characters. You can feel the pain and trauma that leaks from them both. The painful choices they make, and the painful discoveries they find just show how imperfectly human they are. One of the discoveries that Grace makes is incredibly personal to me, and that made the book just all the more real.

I got an ARC for this book and you have just received my honest and voluntary review.
