Paula H. Deen and her sons operate The Lady & Sons Restaurant, located in Savannah's historic district. Paula Deen was born in Albany, Georgia on January 19, 1947. After moving to Savannah, she opened the Bag Lady catering company with her two sons. In 1996, she opened her own restaurant called The mostrar más Lady and Sons. In 1999, USA Today named The Lady and Sons the International Meal of the Year. She eventually opened a second restaurant called Uncle Bubba's Oyster House with her brother. She is the author of numerous cookbooks including Paula Deen's Kitchen Wisdom and Recipe Journal; Christmas with Paula Deen; Paula Deen and Friends; The Lady and Sons Just Desserts; The Lady and Sons Too!; and The Lady and Sons Savannah Country Cookbook. Her memoir, Paula Deen: It Ain't All About the Cookin', was published in 2007. She had three shows on the Food Network: Paula's Home Cooking, Paula's Party, and Paula's Best Dishes. She won two daytime Emmy Awards for Paula's Home Cooking. In 2005, she appeared in the movie Elizabethtown and launched a lifestyle magazine called Cooking with Paula Deen. It Ain't All About the Cookin' por Paula Deen

I've always been a fan of Paula Deen's shows and her food. I've made a few of her recipes and they always came out delish! I had a chance to meet her and her family a few years ago at an autograph session at her restaurant in Savannah. This was the book she signed. I enjoyed this book and her stories of growing up with agoraphobia, being penniless and rising her way up to stardom and fame. She seems to be a very down to earth person and the book was very cute just like her. I'm excited for the recipes at the end of each chapter and look forward to making them in my home.… (más)
