The Lives and Times of Ebenezer Scrooge por Paul Davis
A very good overview of how A Christmas Carol became part of our culture.
This book is a great collection of short stories and essays pertaining to said stories. I have found myself reading stories from it outside of the classroom and enjoying them.
I recommend this book for anyone who likes to read short stories and reaction essays by some notable persons. A personal favorite of mine is Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe, and his essay commenting on the racism in Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness.
I originally bought this as a textbook for school, but I find it has a lot of stories and information that is useful outside of school so I decided to keep it. I am even interested to read the stories we didn't get to in class.
