I really enjoyed this book, the innocence of Emma and her crush on her favorite Rockstar Ollie was interesting because I think at some point in all our lives we either are tired of the mundane day to day life or we crave more interest and we all definitely have had crushes on celebrities that we have wanted to be swept away by like a fairy tale so it made Emma very relatable. She wins a contest to finally meet her crush and attend a gala with him, but we all know that saying “don’t meet your heroes” well in this case it held true because is a pig and ends up making Emma cry, but Ollie’s brother, Caleb sees so much more to Emma and is immediately infatuated with her. Caleb was the insecure Rockstar which I thought was a great new twist with this trope because we all know the cock Rockstar, but Caleb brought a new refreshing take on it. He wasn’t by any means innocent, but he was a gentleman, caring, falling hard for Emma but remained friends until they couldn’t hold back anymore. There were so many different twists towards the end especially one I did not see coming that I was shocked and poor Luke I really feel so bad for him and fingers crossed there is someone else out there for him than the one it eludes to at the end of this story because I did not like her at all and what she did to poor Caleb Luke with the lies. A really good and steamy read, can’t wait for more.… (más)

I was so excited to get John and Dani’s story because in the first book we get small glimpses of them together and John is a mysterious character that I knew it was going to be good. John is a loner, he likes his solitude, his tattoo shop, and his sister that is about all because he hates attention and people in general. Dani is a world-famous drummer for a band so her life is always in the spotlight, so you don’t know how these two totally different people will work together. Dani loves the attention, has a set of her own rules due to a tragic event that happened in the past, and she doesn’t do relationships. In theory these two are extremely different and shouldn’t work at all, but the saying opposites attract could not be truer for these guys. Slowly, John breaks all of Dani’s rules and worms in way into her life and heart and the same could be said about Dani integrating her into his life. I loved their push and pull and trying to figure out how they were going to work. I can’t wait for more, but I have a feeling I’m not going to be a fam of Rebecca.

To be honest I was doubtful to read more about Rebecca since in Caleb’s book she was a little shady and I wasn’t sure of her motives, but the more I read about her and Luke’s story the more I became more compassionate and understanding towards them. Luke has always been in love with Rebecca and she was always attracted to Luke first, I didn’t like how they didn’t address things to begin with or how certain things were handled but they are truly made for one another. I also understood why Luke’s family didn’t like her and was very open or friendly towards her, however at times I think they were a tad cruel and went overboard. Rebecca was a great mother and Luke proved to be a great dad and friend/boyfriend to Rebecca. I wish we could have seen how Luke dealt with his mother more since she was one that went a tad overboard with her cruelty, but the story ended up being a beautiful one and little Caleb was such a beautiful kid. I can’t wait to read about Ollie.… (más)

I was really looking forward to reading Ollie’s story because underneath that playboy persona he has I just knew was a great guy with some issues that just needed to be told. In earlier books when we have met Ollie he came off as an arrogant jerk who only had one thing on his mind and while this is still kind of true, once he and Luce develop their friendship he knows deep down he wants to change his ways and become more for himself and Luce. Luce was a tough chick that had friends but even from them and her family she kept things close to the vest because she was scared of letting anyone in until Ollie, the very last person who she should let in she becomes close to and they tell each other everything. Once they develop this weird sort of friendship, they endure so much together like being stranded on an island together, learning to trust each other, and depending on each other but their insecurities keep them from getting too close. After they escape their predicament, they go their separate ways only to realize they have somehow fallen for each other and don’t want to let that go. I loved that Ollie found his redemption in Luce and she found her happy in him, but one thing that bothered me the most was how their families were so incredibly rude to them in front of the other and didn’t even bother to act concerned that they had to survive almost a week and almost died on a secluded island. Their families treated Ollie with disdain, even his own family, they acted like he was a child that didn’t deserve their attention and that his past was unforgivable that he didn’t deserve to explain his situation. Emma made me mad at the way she went off on Luce and still didn’t apologize for her behavior towards Ollie even though he apologizes for his, I thought she was a sweet and cute character in her book but in this one she came off as rude and not supportive of her aunt at all. Also, the quick conclusion to the crazy chick was a little too fast and even though she was insane she seemed to suddenly be understanding and walked away. All in all, this has been a great series just a few hits or misses when it came to family ties.… (más)
