The fifth book in the Zodiac Cusp Kids Series, Something Twisted finds Angie, Jen, and David older, a little wiser, and in all new adventures, both as teens and as protectors of the universe. There are definitely some surprise twists that come in this book. No spoilers here! I will say the overall series has all some great elements. I love how with each book the world building expands. I remember reading the first book thinking these kids were just dealing with a few ghosts here and there and now they're facing giant spiders and world hoping intergalactic Pilgrims. This particular story did give me a feeling of what Sam and Dean must have experienced as kids growing up.

Great series for adults and reluctant teen readers, age range 12-15 especially.

Another exciting tale of the Zodiac Cusp kids and their adventures. This time around we get more into magical elements that brought new thrills and power to the characters and series.

A must read for fans of Supernatural and Stranger Things.

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.

When I first read Something Wicked, I got the feeling of nostalgia for my childhood. I was a little younger than the characters in this story but I knew enough of the time period to feel like I had been there. Something Wicked has a Supernatural feel, with the kids coming to understand that they are part of something bigger than themselves and fighting evil to save the day. It's an imaginative creation and I'm ready to read more about what these kiddos get into.

Dale writes very strong females. They aren't super brave all the time but they do their best and stay true to their cause. I love the dynamics of the three kids with their mentor Mr. Rakow. He supplies a wizened balance to their untested youth.

While Something Wicked is a teen/middle grades story, it will be deeply enjoyable to adults who grew up in the 80's. Definitely for fans of Supernatural and Stranger Things.

We Could Be Heroes has all the makings of an epic. Battles, hard decisions, adventure, and most importantly, love! A reader couldn't ask for better character and world building. Exciting from the start, Heroes is one you never want to put down. The best part, for me at least, was the short chapters. I do love quick to the point chapters that make me want to keep going rather than being bogged down with to much excruciating detail. Sarah Dale describes things clearly and allows the story to flow together seamlessly. Definitely going in my top faves of 2016.… (más)
