A decent collection of sermons by W. A. Criswell on James. Criswell is always interesting and sound in his docrtine, though my major complaint would be that he skips some rather important sections of the book. Still, the book remains a very readable and very reliable introduction to the letter.

Represents the first time Dr. Criswell has assembled a book of his all-time favorite sermons. These are messages he has preached again and again, by popular demand, through a ministry of fifty years.

From poverty to the most important Southern Baptist pulpit of his day, Criswell defined doctrine and preaching for his era. Here is the pastor of the SBC church that Billy Graham joined when he chose to affiliate himself with a particular local church.
