I picked up Cowboy Justice and was immediately transported back in time, my imagination running wild with visions of San Marcos and south Texas back during that time period. I am a sucker for a good Western vibe and this novel had it in spades. I appreciated getting to know Phineas and Charlotte before they meet one another. The rich character development made the moments they spend with one another all the sweeter. I do wish the epilogue would’ve had a little more meat to it, as I feel like there was a lot glossed over. I believe if more details would’ve been provided it would have lent to an even richer foundation and helped my personal adoration towards the characters.

There is definitely a slower burn to this novel, but there is also a certain charm that endeared me from the beginning. The intrigue of what would happen next paired with secrets that slowly come to light is what kept my rapt attention and made this novel quite enjoyable. I didn’t quite connect on an emotional level with these particular characters, but I did enjoy their story, and found myself rooting for them until the end. All in all, this was a quick read that kept me charmed with its imaginative details, descriptive writing and overall Texas heart.

*I have voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book which I received from the author/publisher through JustRead Tours. All views and opinions expressed are completely honest, and my own.

What a beautiful love story. Two people heading out West with basically their faith in God. I found this a wonderful story with it’s faith intertwined in the story. Dorothy and Elias are both strong characters that go through a lot and come together in this beautiful story. I love strong writing that is big on faith and inspirational. Those are two items found in this story. Elias does a lot of preparation for this trip to make sure it his calling. Dorothy kind of flew by the seat of her pants, not by her choice. The story showed us that God works in miraculous ways. I recommend this one.… (más)

I received a free copy of this novel in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

This story is set many years in the future, where Christianity is practically extinct and Bibles no longer in print. The Tulamites believe that a savior will arrive on their planet from Earth. To make sure this occurs they require 50 civilians to arrive on the new colony once a year.

Lynette Lamb is dying and raising her grandson has become too much for her ailing body. Now she is forced to send Jeremy to live with the father he barely knows on a space colony. Lynette has raised Jeremy no to conform, but to follow God’s word and look to him for guidance. Lieutenant Lamb avoids his mother and so at all costs and has wanted nothing to do with him son since his wife’s demise.

Sam and Tanya are excited to be on their way to the space colony. Tanya had been withdrawn and sad since the accident that caused the death of their 19 year old son two years prior. This will be the fresh start they both so desperately needed.

William Huxley was given to be of service to a demon since birth. Celfarus taunted Bill to no end, and when Bill didn’t obey the repercussions were unbearably painful. When Bill takes the final spot for the space colony, the battle of good versus evil ensues. Will they be able to overcome the problems that arise? Will they be able to stand firm and trust God in the midst of the storm?

I have never read a Christian Science Fiction novel before and this one was just fantastic! The characters were wonderful, with each person having their own unique personality. This book was fast paced and very engrossing. So much so, that I read it in one afternoon! My favorite character was Jeremy. He could have given in to his father’s wishes and saved himself a lot of problems, instead he decided to stand firm in his beliefs. He had an admirable strength in character, even for a twelve year old. All in all, a wonderful book about trusting God even in your darkest hour. I look forward to reading more from this talented author.

I received a free copy of this novel in exchange for my honest review.

Survivor is book two in the Sanctuary - End Times series. This portion focuses on the group of people Mr. Harris left behind at his apartment complex. Rations are getting low, and the teenagers are finding it difficult to find food and water. As you can recall from Sanctuary, the aliens have poisoned the water supply and the Shisa roam the streets in the hunt for people. After thirst overwhelms Rory's twin sister, Hailey and she drinks the tap water causing a tragic outcome. Rory, his best friends, Tion and Jose, along with Mr. Lee and Mr. Conway, begin raiding nearby homes for food and water. At first things are looking up and they finally have enough food and water to stave off dehydration. Then surprisingly the Shisa get smart, and things become more dire than ever before.

This is an unusual end time series with zombies and aliens. I love the description of the aliens, it's truly unique. I enjoyed finding out what happened to the people at the apartment complex. I was curious what had happened to them during Sanctuary, so I'm glad that was the focal point of this novel. There's nonstop action, heart stopping moments and even some really sad moments. Although this is a novella, Pauline Creeden causes a plethora of emotions. I can't wait for the next book in the series. This is a great Christian dystopian science fiction series for all ages!
