1270. The Miracle of Lourdes, by Ruth Cranston (7 Apr 1974) This 1955 book, written by a non-Catholic, I found too laudatory. I would have preferred a more carefully critical view, examining the evidence. After I read this I read The Happening at Lourdes: The Sociology of the Grotto, by Alan Neame, which is a better book.
