Jackson Cooper is the new investigator in Cypress Landing, and a big man. Emalea is nervous around him because he reminds her of an ex-husband who was abusive.
This book is okay but not great. Typical Harlequin romance - some dangerous situations, bad guys chasing after Jackson, confusion on his part on whether he is ready to take a chance on love, confusion on Emalea's part wondering if Jackson will be abusive toward her if they get involved because that is all she has known.
A cute kid named Kent helps save the day and I fell in love with him.… (más)
