Fairey Hydraulics - Biografía breve
- Hugh W. Cowin was born in January 1934 and spent 12 years in the RAF between 1951 and 1963, mainly with all weather fighter units. His last five and a half years were spent with the Central Fighter Establishment at RAF West Raynham. He then went into the aerospace industry, culminating in his setting up and heading the Central Market and Research Department for what was to become Lucas Aerospace. A consultant to Fairey Hydraulics since 1972, he retained his pilot's licence and ratings until October 1979. Along the way, he has found time to found Flight International's Systems feature produce the Observer's Warships and collect aircraft photographs. Hugh Cowin has also written the first two volumes in this series: Aviation Pioneers I: Research Aircraft 1891-1970: X-Planes; and Aviation Pioneers I Racing & Record Setting Aircraft - The Risk Takers.
