The Traveller and other favorites featuring The… por Country Gentlemen
One of my all-time faves -- truly a "grab on the way out of a burning building" album. This was the band in its classic Duffey/Waller/Adcock/Ferris configuration, before all the various mitosis and meiosis of personnel. The sing is unbeatable, and the playing's not too shabby either. In mine 'umble opinion, the two cuts "Baby blue" -- yes, Dylan's song -- and "Exodus" -- yes, the film title-tune -- are the most unlikely pairing in the history of recorded Bluegrass -- and yet, one of the best. I haven't checked to see whether this is all available in something newer than LP, but it certainly should be.… (más)
