An enjoyable and absorbing read. You could potentially read this as a standalone but you'll get more out of it if you read the earlier books in the series first. It is very much Shay's book, but other storylines come into the narrative, too. There is a lot of introspection and flashbacks to show how things got to where they are, so if you don't like that structure it won't be for you. I found it was done really well, though.
This is a great book. Plenty of drama, but it's all plausible and the characters are completely believable, as are their reactions to situations. Lots of twists and turns. The book certainly keeps you interested and wanting to find out what happens next. A romantic relationship is at the core of the book, but it's so much more than a romance.
Loved it. Drama and romance and rock stars, what could be better? The story lines are well developed, the characters memorable and realistic. It brings forward the essence of book one, while also shifting focus to a different set of key players. A really good read.
