As usual with an anthology, a mixed bag. It’s difficult to jump into the middle of ongoing story lines.
Not quite the story I was expecting from the blurb, but still very enjoyable.
It was good to see more of young Eddie, the boy who was orphaned when his father, a Royal Protection Service agent was killed in action [182655265::Taken]. Eddie subsequently acquired 6 male and 6 female guardians, including Pat, the Trickster King, who secretly hopes and schemes for his daughter Deirdre to realise that Eddie is the one she wants for her husband. The outworking of that will happen in a future Royal States novel.… (más)

This book was really fun. Great winter read while keeping cozy with a warm beverage. I really enjoyed being in Kelsie's head while all the mayhem unfolded.
This novella had me grinning so much I'm afraid I'm stuck looking like this ;-)
It was funny in a, sometimes, dark and morbid way and I loved it!!
